Elevent Group is organizing the traditional Elevent Star dance competition 12 December 2020 in Helsinki. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected all big events around the world this year and it also has a big impact on this upcoming competition. “We decided to change the competition this year to be open to only Finnish competitors. With this the adjudicator panel is also all Finnish” says Helena Ahti-Hallberg, the CEO of Elevent Group. The reason for this is simply to try to keep all couples safe and healthy from this horrible disease by staying home and not travel.

We are heartbroken that we are not able to welcome foreign couples this year, but we want everyone to feel safe and do not want anyone to travel at the moment. We will be welcoming every dancer from every corner of the world as soon as it is safe to travel again! Take care of yourself and we hope to see all our regular foreign couples (and many more) next year!
